3. I like to use a number one comb, this gives a nice neater clip without being too close to the skin. A week before competition, I would clip out his socks. It's good to do it a week before, so you don't have the lines left in the leg from the clipper blades. You could

4. take the comb off for down the back of the legs and the feathers and then I like to neaten up the coronary bands with scissors.

6. I like to peel chestnuts when they are wet from washing or file back when dry or use sandpaper. So, when on day of competition, I can apply Blac-it to them so that they are nice and presentable for the show ring.
