 Working with SAP CRM or SAP SRM we've faced the challenge of
identical business objects in separate systems, e.g. the same
customer inside SAP CRM and SAP ERP respectively the same
supplier inside SAP SRM and SAP ERP.
 The new Identical Business Objects (IBO) technology solves this
challenge through introduction of cross-application business
workspaces. Cross-application business workspaces provide one
single workspace for such identical objects. Cross-application
workspaces can span more than two applications respectively
systems.
 Business Relationships are supported cross-systems!
 Beyond managing the documents this workspace is able to show
data from all systems linked (CRM + ERP, SRM + ERP) and
therefore provides a unified view (documents and data, CRM/SRM
and ERP) on an object like a customer or a supplier.


 Configuration has
changed in the
way that now
several business
object types can
be configured for
one workspace
type.
 Therefore, you’ll
find the menu
items “Configure

Workspace
Types”.

SAP ERP - Business Content Window


SAP ERP - Business Content Window
 There is a new visualization of Business Workspaces in SAPgui
available. We have unified the new ArchiveLink PLUS Window and
the Business Workspaces into the new Business Content Window.
 This window has several advantages compared to the existing
visualization:
 The business content window behaves like standard Windows Explorer in
the sense that folders are shown in the tree and documents on the right
side
 Like in standard Windows Explorer there is now a search box on the top
right that does a full text search inside the business workspace (search from
current folder)
 Documents and Dialogs are no longer shown in-place and thus several
documents and dialogs can be shown in larger windows and at the same
time.
 There is a new move & copy functionality that allows moving & copying
items directly between business workspaces.
