2. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
• Drugs have been very common with teens these
days.
• More teens are exposed to drugs everyday.
• Leading to getting hospitalized and even death..
3. WHAT KINDS OF DRUGS ARE WE
TALKING ABOUT?
• Most common known drugs that are being used:
• MDMA (Molly)
• Ecstasy
• LSD
• Cocaine
• Marijuana
4. WHAT MAKES TEENS WANT TO TAKE
DRUGS?
• Teens are being influenced to take drugs through
very common ways
• Through fellow peers/ friends
• Music
• Raves
• Parties
• Etc.
5. MUSIC AND DRUGS?
• Music influences teens to go to events such as
parties and raves.
• The rave scene has evolved where a majority who
attend use drugs.
• The most common known party drug is Molly also
known as MDMA.
6. WHERE’S MOLLY? WHO’S MOLLY?
• MDMA is a psychoactive drug that effects the
brain.
• It effects your adrenaline and serotonin receptors.
• Drugs such as molly make you feel stronger from
your adrenaline levels and makes your mood much
happier from your serotonin levels
• These effects are similar to ecstasy which is also a
well known party drug.
7. A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF HOW TEENS
WOULD BE INFLUENCED BY MUSIC TO
TAKING DRUGS
9. TRAGIC EVENT..
• During EDC Los Angeles in 2010, a 15 year old by
the name of Sasha Rodriguez died of drug
overdose.
• The rave scene quickly made many headlines from
people wanting to ban raves to riots in the streets of
LA.
• This event actually led to banning gloving from
raves.
11. WHY BAN SOMETHING SO SIMPLE AS
GLOVING?
• Gloving is shockingly considered one of the biggest
ways to promoting drug use.
• I ABSOLUTLEY disagree with that because from 2011
to 2013, gloving is now looked at as a new genre of
a type of dance.
• But sadly until this day, gloving is still banned in
many places.
12. IN CONCLUSION
• I chose this topic for my project because I wanted
