1. Cdc Recommendations
Recommendation to CDMC: In the development of this paper I have focused on mitigating risks,
addressing challenges and identified opportunities for each option provided. Managing the change
with communication, education and input from stakeholders is critical to a smooth transition of any
change CDMC incorporates and I would appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the change and
vision for NCC. In consideration of the 3 options I presented in this paper I recommend to CDMC
to first adopt option 1 with a transition to option 2 after monitoring the count pressures of medium
PC's, PC remand and sentenced GP's for a minimum of 6 months. At any time option 3 to house
female offenders at the centre is viewed as a requirement it could also ... Show more content on

The risks I have identified in option 1 of the perceptions of NCC being designated a PC centre by
other centres and the inmate population can be managed through a series of presentations through
webinar and/ or video clips to classification officers, leadership teams, drug and alcohol councillors,
native workers, chaplains, and staff training opportunities at the other centres. Managers would
include the agenda item of NCC change in bed placement strategy in all committees meetings they
are members. The NCC CorrPoint page would be updated to reflect the centres classification and
bed load strategy and include an update of the CorrPoint news page to reach staff at all centres. By
educating and informing the stakeholders they would have impact on the message inmates at other
centres receive. The challenges identified in option 1 of promoting NCC as the 3 classification
centre would be addressed through training and education listed above. The challenge of the GP
inmates resistance to move to Campbell House that was housed with PC's would be addressed in the
plan and processes prepared by NCC before any move is implemented. By communicating with the
inmates of the process and providing them the opportunity to be herd for their concerns and bring
forward ideas are valuable to the process. I have viewed it as an opportunity for the PC's to be
housed in the dorms with unescorted movements to records, health care, separate kitchen, and

2. Recommendations for Nike
NIKE Executive Summary by Lawrence Gimeno Recommendations: Make it count My first
recommendation is directed at Nike's push into digital sports. In my opinion the new accelerometer
based Nike+ technology is the birth of a whole new generation of Nike products and an amazing
innovation to motivate people to include sports into their everyday life. Nike has attained a leading
role in almost every one of the upcoming world wide sporting events, such as the 2012 Olympics,
the 2012 Soccer Euro Cup, the NFL Superbowl, the 2014 Soccer World Cup and the 2016 Summer
Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Therefore the time is now for Nike to embed their customers and the
fans of these major sporting events in the experience through their new technology. ... Show more

Looking at Nike's current flagship products and their presentations (NFL jerseys, Nike FlyKnit,
Nike+ Technology it is obvious that the company is trying to move in the same direction as one
company who mastered this strategy – Apple. Furthermore I think that publicly announcing these
new product presentations and staging them in an interactive and fancy way as well as making them
available for live streaming around the world on Nike's website or Facebook would quickly educate
the potential customer and create the same kind of demand like Apple is enjoying for their iPhone,
iPad and Mac product lines. Right now Nike is working on the development of a self lacing shoe as
seen in the movie "Back to the Future 2" worn by the character "Marty McFly". The company has
acquired 65 patents in the process of constructing the shoe. The release of the shoe is rumored to
take place in 2015, the year in which the movie takes place. Personally I see three potential
outcomes of this move by Nike. First of all, this technology is applicable to the athletic footwear
products as well and could revolutionize the fit of athletic shoes, giving Nike a further advantage
over it's competitors by owning a product that is very hard to emulate. Secondly it boosts the brands
aura and identity significantly, which leads me to my next point of Nike maybe moving into the
fashion industry with this cult object. However Nike has not yet confirmed any of this strategies.

I have had the distinct pleasure of having Kaya Stone as a student in my debate classes and on my
debate team for three years at Eastern Little Hope High School.
Kaya has been more than the ideal student. In order to achieve the highest grades and my deepest
respect, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership and maintained a clear sense of purpose.
The academics at Eastern Little Hope are most challenging, and Kaya fulfilled all the requirements
with the added challenge of honors and advanced courses. Kaya is an outstanding extemporaneous

This letter on Non–Recommendation is to inform you that Officer Reginald Nathan is currently
applying for the two advertised positions (Outside Workcrew/Acting Training & Standards). I have
been assigned as his supervisor for over the last two years and have a unique vision of his character,
duty performance, strengths, and deficiencies. While Officer Nathan has been at YKCC since
January 30th, 2014, I believe he is lacking the individual drive, ability, and maturity to perform
either of these positions without direct supervision and by the minute direction.

are not to be "convinced" to write a "Request for Interview" or "Medical Request" injecting they
have a specific medical infliction or legal right to "have" or "demand" anything.
Don't get this letter wrong, he is able to complete the work assigned to him; at the shift level and
with direct supervision, but the quality of the work is satisfactory and sometimes below average. I
believe that Officer Nathan has the potential to be a good Officer, but repugnance and pride not to

With the business' internal control out of control I would recommend to hire an accountant with
extensive internal audit situation with businesses that was in a similar state. A company executive
should be placed as project head to work with the auditor. This will help to give the auditor a clear
understanding of where the company is and the direction it wants to go. By them working together
the executive offers the business plan of what they want and the auditor offers the expertise and
experience in process to get the company there. The sooner the company hires an internal auditor
the sooner the business internal control system can be turned around.

Michael Jordan has driven strong sales of the company's basketball sneakers, including the retro

Innovative Products: Given Nike's focus on R&D, as mentioned in the strengths section of this

FuelBand, a wearable technology that monitors physical activity, may not have been as successful as
hoped, Nike still has its eye on the next "big thing". The company's brand strength, coupled with its
focus on R&D, should allow it to remain at the forefront of new technologies in the footwear and
wearable technology space.

be considered as one of the biggest opportunities that Nike has, having said that, the organization
can use this ultimate power to raise awareness about their organization and the products which they

is dependable, honest, and kind; he cares about people and is always available to answer questions
and assist others, even during his busiest moments. One of the best things I did since coming to

Allowing someone to choose when to die, in the face of intolerable pain, is seen by South Australian
Voluntary Euthanasia Society (SAVES) as the most dignified and compassionate remedy to end
suffering (South Australian Voluntary Euthanasia Society 1995). Therefore, present legislation
allowing patients to refuse treatment does not help them to die with any dignity. 5.2 Life Support
The cost of healthcare has risen dramatically and shows every sign of continuing to do so
(Australian Psychological Society n.d.). The Australian Psychological Society claim that for many,
the improper use of life support systems to temporary lengthen life, without any improvement in the
quality of life, can be used as a good argument for euthanasia (Australian Psychological Society
n.d.). Medical policy and hospital practice means decisions are already being made about who
qualifies for life support. This implies an already covert practice of euthanasia (Chaney 2001).
Therefore, some form of legalisation would acknowledge an already existing practice and extend the
decision making to the patient also.
5.3 Public Opinion
Recent studies and polls in Australia seem to show support from both professionals and the general
public for individuals to have the right to choose between euthanasia as an alternative to a life of
suffering (What is euthanasia? 2006, para 8). If it is supposed that legislation should represent the
views of the public, then

The usability testing for PowerTeacher's Gradebook indicated that the interface is lacking in some
basic usability features such as learnability, ease of use, feedback and memorability. The study
findings suggest many usability issues related to creating new assignments, entering comments,
manually overwrite grades, and generating reports within the school information system which are
potentially impeding a teacher's capacity to efficiently execute routine classroom management tasks,

not have to manipulate several options to locate it. Currently, the user have to manipulate several

5. Simplify the steps to generate reports. Currently to generate a final grade and verification report
requires the user to complete approximately 10 steps. A user generating five successive reports must

quarter 1 must be selected and then go back and select quarter 4 before the quarter 4 report can be

Marketing Recommendation and Analysis
Recommendation: Coordinate with marketing team to develop a clear marketing strategy and shift
towards a transient advantage strategy to remain relevant amongst competition.
Marketing and strategy currently plays an instrumental role for the company and requires many
tasks to be delivered. It is strongly suggested that you coordinate with your marketing manager to
not only carry out the marketing recommendations, but to also gain a better understanding of the
marketing team efforts as whole. This will lead to an improved team dynamic that will allow you to
respond effectively to any requests or obstacles. For example, the idea of producing Stand Up
Paddles (SUP) was turned away by the marketing team, but it is recommended for this idea to be
reevaluated to develop a transient advantage.
Although the record confirms that the company is performing well from a "marketing perspective,"
it is clear that the same is not true from a financial perspective. It is also noted that the demand in
the market for SUPs is growing at 25% so a transient advantage strategy would be ideal to

Background
The use of fingerprints and handprint patterns as a means of personal identification dates back to
thousands of years. There were archaeological records of the usage of these by the Chinese dating
back to 2000 years ago (Stuart James, 2014, p. 331). As a matter of fact, in Babylon and ancient
China, fingerprints were routinely pressed into clay tablets (Figure 1). It is thought that this was
done for purposes of authenticating or perhaps just out of superstition (Farelo, 2009). However, Sir
William Herschel, a British administrator is credited for being the first European to recognize the
value of fingerprinting as a means of personal identification. When he was working for the Civil
Service of India, he entered into a contract with a local businessman and asked him to put his right
hand print on the back of the contract (Stuart James, 2014, p. 331). Apparently, in that part of the
country, traces of bodily impressions were considered more binding than signatures (Saferstein,
2011, p. 4).

It is with great honor to write this recommendation for Dr. Jennifer Fremstad in support of her
application for the Assistant Superintendent position at West Fargo Public Schools. Dr. Fremstad is
currently the head principal at West Fargo High School and I have the privilege to serve in the role
of her direct supervisor.
Burning compassion for students and educators would be one of the many attributes that Dr.
Fremstad possesses that contributes to her outstanding leadership. During her five years as head
principal at West Fargo High School, she has carried the torch of compassion and spread this culture
throughout the building she leads. In Jennifer's first year as principal, she recognized some of the

Fremstad values, communicates, and implements. A large majority of her staff has been trained in
Improving Academic Literacy: Effective Classroom and Intervention Practices by Kevin Feldman.
This training builds teacher capacity in engagement, reading and writing literacies, and content
vocabulary. Dr. Fremstad has advanced fidelity of implementation by organizing periodic learning
walks (peer observations) for all educators at West Fargo High. These peer observations afford
actionable feedback to support continuous growth. She also recognized the importance of a systems
approach to impact student learning and has committed to implement AVID (Advancement via
Individual Determination) school–wide. This program guides effective classroom instruction
through engagement, reading and writing, and organization with an overarching goal of preparing
our students for post–secondary and future 21st Century careers.
Dr. Fremstad has been instrumental in the implementation of Professional Learning Communities
(PLCs) at West Fargo High School. She understands the power of teacher collaboration and has led
the charge to train and monitor the program with fidelity. Jennifer has inspired educators to share
student evidence of learning and extend intervention or enrichment learning opportunities based on
the data. In addition, she advocates on the importance of frequent classroom visitations with her
leadership team and establishes annual visitation goals to support teachers and

Background A large, local hospital has requested consulting assistance with a technical research and
specification project related to the selection of a tablet device for use in their medical practice. This
tablet will be used by personnel for medical and administrative purposes throughout the hospital.
Criteria for Consideration The following criteria have been considered as part of this evaluation:
Operating System: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While software selection criteria were not in scope for this effort, it does warrant discussion on the
overall availability of specialty software for the medical industry on iOS, Android and Windows
platforms. Currently, most of the "MCA's" or Medical Clinical Assistant platforms operate in a
Windows–only environment, as do most of the key medical records and billing platforms in the
medical field. The cost of custom software development to build a mobile solution is far beyond the
budget of most local hospitals and not an endeavor to be undertaken lightly. Legal, Regulatory and
Security Concerns There are a multitude of patient privacy (HIPAA) and patient information
concerns related to the use of technology in medical care. Selection of the proper hardware,
operating systems and system software make the compliance with and documentation in support of
these regulations far easier. The Android and iOS operating systems have recently introduced
features such as enforced encryption that have made them useable in PCI and HIPAA compliant
environments. The Windows OS has supported PCI and HIPAA compliant elements for some time.
It is critical to keep in mind that PCI and HIPAA compliance is challenging; simple features such as
encryption and two–factor authentication availability assist in making a device compliant but do not
guarantee compliance.

Running head: ECONOMIC POLICY RECOMMENDATION
Assignment 3: Economic Policy Recommendation
Dr. Camille Castorina
ECO 405 – Economic Problems and Issues
Briefly describe the economic problem you have selected.
According to text in today's American economy, poverty is essentially an income distribution
problem. The U.S. economy generates enough income to go around so that no one really has to live
in poverty. But enough income does not go to everyone, and some people do live in poverty. Poverty
is concerned with the relationship between the minimum needs of people and their ability to satisfy
those needs. The difficulty with any definition of poverty involves the meaning of minimum needs

Price discrimination occurs when people of different races or genders are forced to pay different
prices for the same good or service, provided the differences are not due to differences in cost of
serving the consumer. (Ansel M. Sharp, Evidence of Discrimination in Our Economy, 2010)
It may seem that racism and discrimination doesn't exist anymore in the US, with the election of an
African American as president, but discrimination still harbors here. To see discrimination first
hand, just travel south a few hundred miles where pickup trucks still have the Confederate flag
painted on their cabs and many houses have a Confederate flag flying, which a minority in the area
views as racist. Discrimination has played a huge role in shaping economies and creating poverty;
women, for instance, still reflect a small portion of engineering and higher income job percentages.
A report from http://www.yemenpost.net/23/Reports/20081.htm says that women have a 600 percent
higher unemployment rate and receive, at average, 13 percent less money than men do while having
the same occupations and getting the same work done. Discrimination still affects the poverty rate
and unemployment.
Design a proposed economic policy solution to the problem.

to easing poverty. First,

30. Guidelines And Suggestions For A Recommendation
Introduction
Having a well–known and standard process to create a policy or procedure is crucial in an
organization. The lack of one could lead to confusion and hindrance in the implementation of a
potentially necessary process. In many organizations, however, there is room for improvement.
Recommendations and suggestions should be encouraged, as they can aid in the success of these
plans. It is not enough, though, to simply suggest improvements. Action must be taken on the
suggestions, or they will likely remain unchanged. Succeeding this, once a recommendation has
been implemented, and organization must implement some way of measuring the status of it. This
paper focuses on the metrics Organization A uses to measure the success of a recommendation. All
opinions expressed in this paper are that of the author unless otherwise specified. The policy
development process in Organization A is contingent upon what department a policy affects. For
example, if the Accounting department needs to develop a process that handles, for example,
sending a report to a supervisor, then the procedure simply must be worked out within the
department. In this example, the policy may not be written down; it may just be understood and
common practice. However, if the Accounting department found the need to implement a policy that
specified how all employees must handle expense reports, then this must be decided by the core
business unit (BU) leaders.

I am writing to recommend Kiara Patton to the Assembly Fellowship Program. As a student
assistant for the Office of Legislative Counsel, Kiara exhibited her many personal and professional
strengths, including her strong written communication skills. As a resolution writer, she also
demonstrated her adept research and critical thinking skills, as well as her creativity. For instance,
Kiara skillfully provided consultative services, made recommendations, and advised legislative staff
on how they might resolve issues that would be susceptible to the objection of the Senate or
Assembly Committee on Rules. She also worked closely with legislative staff to ensure the final
draft reflected favorably on the member of the legislature that would be presenting her work.
Kiara's strengths also include her dedication and multitasking skills. I was amazed at the ease with
which she could successfully navigate through a variety of tasks, while juggling her responsibilities
as a college student. Not once did I see her become overwhelmed by a given task or assignment.
Kiara not only effectively prioritized her work to ensure due dates were met, but she worked in
advance of due dates to alleviate deadline pressures on others. If I were to critic Kiara on any
shortcomings, it would be to improve on her assertiveness and editing skills. ... Show more content

33. Daily Food Recommendation
According to the 2005 US food guide pyramid, my daily food recommendations are 3 cups of milk,
5.5 ounces of meat and beans, 2.5 cup of vegetable, 2 cups of fruit, and 6 ounces of grains. After
compare my 3 days food records to the recommendation, I have had good amount of fruit and
vegetable daily. Nevertheless, my daily milk and grains intake are much less than the
recommendation. Also I had food in the meat and beans group more than the recommendation.
I could improve my daily intake by drinking more milk, but since milk is not my favorite drink I
would prefer having more yogurts instead. Moreover, I could have more grains especially whole
grain which is recommended to be half of the daily grains recommendation. Another daily intake
that I should improve is the grains group, instead of having plain English muffins as I used to, I
should have whole wheat English muffins. Also since I regularly have rice with most of my meals, I
can substitute brown rice for white rice. Not only brown rice is a good source of energy, but it is
also the best source for vitamins. Since I need to increase consuming more food in milk and grains
groups, so in order to restraint my energy intake, I probably need to reduce my meat and beans
intakes. In order to understand my daily intakes in each category better, I will use an average intake
shown in the table below from all three days records.

affect ED visits.
Often the patient's PCP is not connected to the network via PreManage or there is no PCP–written

36. Recommendations for PPCo
Executive Summary Technology is often characterized as an industry with rapid change, lower cycle
times, and quick innovations. These assessments are generally true in regards to hardware
components. In many instances hardware components are subject to stiff price competition as they
are often commodity like products. Innovations occur, which allows firms to charge higher prices
for their product offerings. The pricing powers of these offerings are quickly eroded as competitors
quickly match or exceed the competing firm's specifications. This vicious cycle occurs in many
hardware components, including disk drives. Disk drives are unique as they often account for
upwards of 40% of the total costs of the computer. In addition they are essential functions as they
directly impact capacity and speed of the overall competing unit. Due to this priority, companies are
often innovating the disk drive to either reduce costs or increase capacity. These innovations are
then marketed through distribution channels that ultimately help drive revenue growth for the firm.
However, due to the rapid evolution that is occurring in the industry it is difficult to have a
distribution network that is dedicated or loyal to particular products. Due to rapid evolution a
product in demand today, often becomes obsolete tomorrow. As such distributors must cater to all
competitors to ensure the correct products are sold at the highest margins to consumers. PPCo must
now create better disk drives that

This technique assist in the decision making process because once the internal rate of return is
determined, the desired investment can easily be decided. Taking the cash outflow and inflow from
each alternative and the desired rate of return will offer the best comparison as which investment
will present a return favorable.
Recommendation
The recommendation Mr. Navallez should take is alternative 1. Alternative 1 offers the best return
on investment. The use of the net present value techniques presents the desired return on investment.
Net present value over internal rate of return presents the expected return on cash outflows for the
cost of the investment, thus allowing management to "compute a present value index." (Edmonds,
Edmonds, Olds, McNair, & Schnieder, p.1160) Assume the desired rate of return is 8% over 10
periods, alternative 1 cash inflow would be $421,834 with cash outflow being $323,091 and
alternative 2 cash inflow of $314,057 with cash outflow being $283,930. The present value of
alternative 1 is $98,743 and alternative 2 is $30,127. Alternative 1 yields a higher rate of return,
however, taking it a step further to confirm alternative 1 is the best investment the present value
index offers an additional comparison of the two investments.
