Kavin "Mickey" Asavanant obtained a full scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to pursue his education in the US (the scholarship was awarded to only one student in the Bangkok Metropolitan area). He went on to do his bachelor and master degrees in Computer Science at Stanford University.
At Stanford, Mickey along with his dorm mates (Kenneth Shaw and Jennifer Gee) started a web 2.0 company called Homeslyce.com during their junior year. Homeslyce is a group buying platform for the birthday event. It facilitates and makes the gift giving experiences more fun and exciting.
