Why Toe Pressure?
• Most of the diabetic patient exhibit an
elevated tibial pressure due to hardening of
the vessels
• ABI in such cases will be more than 1.4
• There may be an obstructive disease when ABI
is more than 1.4
• Capillary pressure exhibit true value.
• Absolute toe pressure > 55 mmHg indicate
sufficient vascularity
