Technologies have been a great medium and reason to rebrand the existing
operations, activities, innovations, inventions and interactions in social, economic and
global efforts for pursuing the greatest providers to counterpart the demand.
The latest innovation for the library operations would be the artificial intelligent,
defined as the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially
intelligent computer programs.
It is related to the similar task of using computers to understand human intelligence,
aims to create an imitation of a human being in performing tasks, to improve the
effectiveness of a product or series offered.
Some of the division is due to social and cultural factors: subfields have grown up
around particular institutions and the work of individual researchers

and retrieval of information as a result of the activities of the
institution which involves a process of managing and maintaining

1. To design a framework for the intelligence agent
solution in information centers.
2. To identify the effectual usage of intelligence agent
in information centers by observation and extended
surveys.
To identify basic concepts of intelligent agents in
information centers, including knowledge
representation and reasoning, planning, decision‐
making and problem solving.

6. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDYSIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The subject evolve around artificial intelligent as
general, and specific to the usage, implementations,
perspectives and also the perceptions of the
information centers operations both in physical and
online environment. Thus, the findings
•will benefits the information centers in
understanding the intelligent agent as a solutions
for their operational task, and inspire for a further
research on developing own intelligent agent.

delivering services through enhanced technology.

An affective computing, in the term of developing an artificial intelligent
solution is the study and development of systems and devices that can
recognize, interpret, process, and simulate human affects, it is an
interdisciplinary field spanning computer sciences, psychology, and
cognitive science.

A hybrid, social online world, virtual 3D environment that usually installed
together in the websites. Artificial intelligent like an avatars can be found
in museums, e-learning environments, and also other sites that need
tutoring in a virtual environment. These artificial intelligent usage and
capabilities are subdivided into several intelligent agents, that plays a
specific role in mimicking human behavior towards operating machinery.

9. Defining Intelligent AgentsDefining Intelligent Agents
• an intelligent agent (IA) is an autonomous entity which
observes through sensors and acts upon an environment
that use technology to operates.
• Intelligent agents are applied as automated online
assistants, where they function to perceive the needs of
customers in order to perform individualized customer
service. Such an agent may basically consist of a dialog
system, an avatar, as well an expert system to provide
specific expertise to the user.

and takes program inputs percepts to adjust its
next behaviors.

SAMPLING
This study aims to examine the intelligent agent practices of
three different information centers in Klang Valley. Thus, the
sampling were PetroSains, National Archives of Malaysia and
Selangor State Library (PPAS)

14. CONCLUSION
The agent technology has great potential in many areas in the library context.
Agents may be used to accomplish administrative tasks, or to improve library
services, such as providing personal services and recommendations to facilitate
users search information.
It is possible to combine human-computer interaction technology to improve
the interface design for library information systems.
