  4. 4. 1- Definitions <ul><li>Fixed prosthodontics is the specialized area of dentistry involved in the replacement of missing teeth with a cast prosthesis permanently cemented in place. </li></ul><ul><li>Fixed Partial Denture (PDF) or Bridge : </li></ul><ul><li>Defined as a prosthetic appliance permanently attached to remaining </li></ul><ul><li>teeth, which replaces one or more </li></ul><ul><li>missing teeth. </li></ul>
