Network Alarm System

1 Summary
The Network Industrial Alarm System is the double-network burglar alarm
system with design of a detachable keypad. It adopts with wired telephone
network and GSM wireless network to transmit the alarm signal. There are
12 zones (6 wired zones and 6 wireless zones). It can be collocated with
wireless remote controller, wired/ wireless PIR detector, wired/ wireless
door sensor, hands-on switch, feet-picked switch and wired/wireless siren,
etc., and consist of a security protection system of Burglar, Fire, Gas and
Emergency status. 8 groups of alarm telephones can be set, such as alarm
command center, mobile telephones and telephones. Once there is alarm
occurring, the alarm panel will activate the siren on-site to make sound. At
the same time, the alarm panel will dial the preserved telephones or make
alarm to ADEMCO Contact ID alarm center directly. It is very suitable for
security services, business places, financial constitutions and enterprises.
2 Main Functions & Features
With design of detachable keypad and alarm panel. The system can be
expanded to 4 keypads and each keypad with a wired zone.
Compatible with wired/ wireless. 6 wired zones and 6 wireless zones can
be learned. Each wireless zone can expand up to 3 detectors.
Access codes: 1 installer code + 4 master codes + 4 users code.

Thank you for choosing our products! As you known, any kinds of products,
to assure its credibility and fully display all its functions, it should be
installed and used correctly. So we recommend installing by professional
personnel. We assume no liability for inaccuracies. Please contact with our
local agency if you need our professional personnel!
4.1 Installing Preparation
Firstly, make a scheme of all defense zones according to user's needs, and
  choose suitable kinds of detectors.
Fix the setup places of all fittings, such as main unit , detectors and sirens.
Draw a setup map marking the types and specification of detectors and
cable conductors in all zones, and marking the different usages of all
kinds of color lines. Do not use the same color cables in the different
zones of the same system. (The scheme and the map should be filed for
  maintenance afterwards)
Note: Read the following factors when making defense scheme and drawing
the map.
*After making sure the credibility of detector, it should be fixed in hide
places, and the main unit should be fixed in a place where is easy to reach but
not easy to be found, and there should have sockets nearby, it also should be
near to telephone line and within the detector defense zone. Siren or trumpet
should be set in the best place. Emergency button should be set in the most
convince place.
*When installing wired detector, the cable should be fixed in hide place, like
line groove in ceiling. Don't use the same color cables in the different zones
of the same system.
*There should be no big mental or other electrical applicants which can
produce interferes (for example television, air-condition, computer and
micro-oven and so on) near to the install place of main unit and other
wireless telecommunication equipments. Otherwise, it will affect the
wireless communication effectiveness.
*Considering all factors, which could cause interferes when adopting
wireless detectors and wireless siren. Usually, in open area, the distance
between the above detector siren and main unit can reach to the standard
index. The main unit should be set indoors. Otherwise, in the course of
transmitting, wireless signal may be absorbed or weaken by all equipment
material indoors. Moreover, other signals of wireless equipment may make
interferes to this transmit signal. Therefore, the transmitting distance is less
than 400m when used indoors.

setup map, and lead the cable to the place where the main unit will be fixed.
And then connect the EOL to the main unit. When connecting, the cable end
should be bared, and the length of bared should be equal to the connect port
where would be inserted. It will cause to poor contact if the line inserted is
too short; and it will cause to short circuit if the line inserted is too long. If
more than two lines should be connected to the same end, the bared line
should be twisted firmly, then insert them into the hole together. After that,
screw the screw cap firmly to guarantee its bearing strength.
1 AC power
AC power is supplied with a 16V/1.5A transformer at 50 or 60 Hz. Please
connect the secondary of the transformer to the terminals labeled AC. The
primary side of the transformer must be connected to an un-switched
receptacle. Do not connect primary to Ground-Fault-Interrupt (GFI)
circuits. After connecting all lines, power it on.
Note: The main unit will indicate if the AC line cut off for 10 seconds. When
there is something wrong with program system, the main unit will report
that AC is cut off. And the main unit also will report that it recovers after
recovering for 10 seconds.
2 Backup Battery
To make sure main unit work normally in case the AC cut off, the alarm host
should be connected with storage battery as picture 1. Connect the red line

                                                      -5-
Network Alarm System

to the anode, and the black line to the cathode. It will damage the battery if
they are connected wrongly, and it uses 12V 7Ah sealed storage battery.
Don't use non-rechargeable battery or non-sealed storage battery. It is
suggested to change the battery every year.
Note: The alarm host will indicate the low power if the voltage is lower
than 11.8V. Moreover, it will send the low-power report if there is
something wrong with program system, and when voltage is lower than
10.5V, it will cut off the power supply to protect the battery. Don't connect
the battery before finishing all lines connection.
3 Siren outputting connection
Bell &C is the siren-outputting interface. It provides stable 10.5V-14.5V
DC power when alarming. Fast thawing fuse F2 (2A, 3AG) protects the
interface circuit. When the current exceeds 2A, the fuse F2 will melt to cut
off the connection between main unit and siren. Note the polarity before
connecting. The anode is connected to the Bell end, and the cathode is
connected to the C end as picture1.
Note: if the fuse melts, please cut off all main unit power. After clearing all
obstructions, change the fuse, and then power it on. Don't change it with
large capacity fuse.
4 Auxiliary connects with power.
SW and C end are interfaces, which can be cut off. It provides equipments,
which needs to reset the cut-off state after alarming with 10.5V-14.5V/0.5A
DC. The representative equipments include glass broken sensor and smoke
detector. AUX and C end are interfaces, which cannot be cut off. It can
provide wired fittings with 10.5V-14.5V/0.5mA DC power. SW & C end and
AUX & C end are protected by fast thawing fuse (0.5A, 3AG)
5) Wired intelligent keypad & wired warning board connection
AUX and C end are the interfaces of the keypad and warning board. DAT
end is the interface of the digit between alarm panel and keypad & warning
board. The system can connect 4 keypads at most and each keypad will
consume 55mA current. The wire connected with keypad is 22AWG
(0.643mm) copper core cable and each cable can reach 150m.
6) Wired zones connection
Z1-Z6&C have 6 interfaces connecting with line in wired zones. In zone
circuit, Z1-Z6 end is anode, C end is cathode, so when connecting, please
pay attention to the polarity of detector alarm output interface, so as not to
damage other parts of apparatus. But it is no necessary to distinguish the
polarities when fittings are hand-pressing switch or foot-trampling
switch.Every zone circuit can be programmed independently to different
circuit types, such as “normal close” “normal open” or “EOL resistor”.

                                        -6-
Network Alarm System

If it is programmed to be “normal close” or “normal open”, the detector's
alarm outputting interface can be connected directly to both ends of zone
circuit; If it is programmed to be “EOL resistor”, the correspondent zone
circuit end should be connected with 2.2K resistor (other zone circuits
unused for the moment also should be connected). Connection principles:
normal open detector should be connected in parallel with 2.2K resistors;
normal close detector should be concatenated with 2.2K resistors (and the
resistor should be as near to detector as possible). In order to avoid zone
circuit lines damaged (be cut off or short circuit), it is better to program
relevant zone circuit to be “EOL resistor”.
If both of resistors down-lead and out-line are connected to the same
interface. They should be twisted and screwed firmly, then inserted into the
interface, and screw the snail firmly. If resistor down lead is wire-wrapped
and connected with out-lines, it should be soldered after wire-wrapped
connection. Moreover, the parts of resistor down lead should be as short as
possible to avoid short circuit by touching with other metals after twisted.
When the detector needs alarm host to provide power, the anode and cathode
of the detector’s power input interface should be separately connected with
SW and C interfaces or AUX and C interfaces.

7) Programmable linkage output connection
NC. NO. and COM are for connection of programmable earth ground. It
means the alarm panel can set the driven relay output of various alarms and
zones alarms. NC is Normal Close, NO is Normal Open and COM is normal
connection. This interface can afford 1A 120VAC/24VDC at most. It should
change the relay of higher-power once the power of controlled equipments
overloads the interfaces.
8) Tamper connection
TAM&C is the anti-tamper zone interface. It can be set two switches on the
case. One is to avoid opening the cap illegally; the other one is to avoid
moving or dissembling the alarm host. Concatenate both anti-tamper
switches, and then connect the EOL with TAM&C interface.
9) Telephone line connection
LINE is the interface of telephone incoming line. PHONE is extension
interface. When alarming, in order to make main unit reporting the alarm
information to the manage center and user, LINE interfaces should be
connected with telephone incoming line. Extension and other
telecommunication equipments (including extension) can be connected
with PHONE interface. But don't oppositely connect with incoming line.
They should be connected as picture 1.
4.2.4 System debugging
Firstly, check whether all lines are connected correctly or not. Next, connect
with battery, and cover the case cap. Then connect with AC power to
program. Lastly, test system to check if all detector fittings can work
normally and can communicate normally with alarm host or if the alarm host
correctly performs all alarm functions. Then the system installation is
finished.
5 Instruction of Wired Keypad
The Keypad is designed to support this Long-distance Network Alarm
System. It can assist the alarm panel to make Arm, Disarm, Duress Alarm
and Emergency Alarm etc. The keypad can display the information from
panel or zones on time. It is endowed with a Tamper interface and a
programmable expanding zone. It is with the design of flip type, aesthetic
appearance and simple operation. 4 pieces of keypads can be connected with
the alarm panel.

Network Alarm System

                     The limitation of this system
While this system is an advanced design security system, it does not offer guaranteed
protection against burglar or fire or other emergency. Any alarm systems, whether
commercial or residential, is subject to compromise or failure to warn for variety of
reasons. For example:
1 Owing to the omission of the user, the system wasn't Armed.
2 Misunderstanding on the user's manual by the user or installer causes the abnormal
   working of the system.
3 Intruders may gain access through unprotected openings or have the technical
sophistication to bypass an alarm sensor or disconnect an alarm warning device.
Passive Infrared Motion Detectors can only detect intrusion within the designed
ranges as diagrammed in their installation manual. They do not provide volumetric
area protection. They can not detect motion or intrusion that takes place behind
walls, ceiling, floors, closed doors, glass partitions, glass doors, or windows.
4 Passive Infrared Detector sense changes in temperature; however, as the ambient
temperature of protected area approaches the temperature range of 30 to 40 , the
  detection performance will decrease.
5 It is exiting no-power or battery-aging.
6 Alarm warning devices such as sirens, bells or horns may not alert people or wake
up sleeper if they are located on the other side of closed or partly open doors.
7 Telephone lines needed to transmit alarm signals from a premise to a central
monitoring station may be out of service or temporarily out of service. Telephone
lines are also subject to compromise by sophisticated intruders.
8 The most common cause of an alarm system not functioning when an intrusion or
fire occurs is inadequate maintenance. This alarm system should be tested weekly to
make sure all sensors and transmitters are working properly.
9 The wireless communication distance is the testing figure in open area. Please make
sure no obstacle in the surrounding environment to guarantee the reliability of the
  wireless communication distance farther.
10 If you disagree with the above mentioned items, please return the alarm system to
our company within 3 days from purchasing. Installing an alarm system may make
one eligible for lower insurance rates, but an alarm system is not a substitute for
insurance. Homeowners, property owners and renters should continue to act
prudently themselves and continue to insure their lives and property.

It adopts with wired telephone network and GSM wireless network to transmit the alarm signal. There are 12 zones (6 wired zones and 6 wireless zones). It can be collocated with wireless remote controller, wired/ wireless PIR detector, wired/ wireless door sensor, hands-on switch, feet-picked switch and wired/wireless siren, etc., and consist of a security protection system of Burglar, Fire, Gas and Emergency status. 8 groups of alarm telephones can be set, such as alarm command center, mobile telephones and telephones. Once there is alarm occurring, the alarm panel will activate the siren on-site to make sound. At the same time, the alarm panel will dial the preserved telephones or make alarm to ADEMCO Contact ID alarm center directly. It is very suitable for security services, business places, financial constitutions and enterprises. 2 Main Functions & Features With design of detachable keypad and alarm panel. The system can be expanded to 4 keypads and each keypad with a wired zone. Compatible with wired/ wireless. 6 wired zones and 6 wireless zones can be learned. Each wireless zone can expand up to 3 detectors. Access codes: 1 installer code + 4 master codes + 4 users code. Support CONTACT ID protocol: it makes test with alarm center terminal to guarantee the normal working of alarm system. Support Close Arm type. Support report of patrolling. It can realize to control remotely and Arm/ Disarm to the alarm system by the software of network alarm center. (The eighth alarm telephone as the remote controlling programmable telephone) (Only for version V1.6) The advanced function of telecommunication re-dialing makes sure the reliability of the alarm report, especially when the telecommunication is occupied. Home Arm and Overall Arm. The zones list of Home Arm can be defined at will. One group of NC & NO relay output interface to set various alarm output. Anti-false intelligent alarm function: it can reduce the time of false alarm by judging the logic function between the crossover zones. Eight groups of telephones, mobile telephones and alarm center telephones can be set. Also it can set the alarm type of every group of telephone and the zone list of communication. • 6. Network Alarm System 4 Installations Thank you for choosing our products! As you known, any kinds of products, to assure its credibility and fully display all its functions, it should be installed and used correctly. So we recommend installing by professional personnel. We assume no liability for inaccuracies. Please contact with our local agency if you need our professional personnel! 4.1 Installing Preparation Firstly, make a scheme of all defense zones according to user's needs, and choose suitable kinds of detectors. Fix the setup places of all fittings, such as main unit , detectors and sirens. Draw a setup map marking the types and specification of detectors and cable conductors in all zones, and marking the different usages of all kinds of color lines. Do not use the same color cables in the different zones of the same system. (The scheme and the map should be filed for maintenance afterwards) Note: Read the following factors when making defense scheme and drawing the map. *After making sure the credibility of detector, it should be fixed in hide places, and the main unit should be fixed in a place where is easy to reach but not easy to be found, and there should have sockets nearby, it also should be near to telephone line and within the detector defense zone. Siren or trumpet should be set in the best place. Emergency button should be set in the most convince place. *When installing wired detector, the cable should be fixed in hide place, like line groove in ceiling. Don't use the same color cables in the different zones of the same system. *There should be no big mental or other electrical applicants which can produce interferes (for example television, air-condition, computer and micro-oven and so on) near to the install place of main unit and other wireless telecommunication equipments. Otherwise, it will affect the wireless communication effectiveness. *Considering all factors, which could cause interferes when adopting wireless detectors and wireless siren. Usually, in open area, the distance between the above detector siren and main unit can reach to the standard index. The main unit should be set indoors. Otherwise, in the course of transmitting, wireless signal may be absorbed or weaken by all equipment material indoors. Moreover, other signals of wireless equipment may make interferes to this transmit signal. Therefore, the transmitting distance is less than 400m when used indoors. -3-

Network Alarm System The mounting holes 150mm Picture 2 Map of Fixing the holes of screws on the bottom of alarm panel 4.2.2 Earth ground To ensure the effectiveness of the lightning and transient protection circuits, the control panel must be connected to “Earth Ground”. 4.2.3 Wiring the panel When connecting, the line should be connected strictly according to the different uses of different color cables. Then spread the line according to the setup map, and lead the cable to the place where the main unit will be fixed. And then connect the EOL to the main unit. When connecting, the cable end should be bared, and the length of bared should be equal to the connect port where would be inserted. It will cause to poor contact if the line inserted is too short; and it will cause to short circuit if the line inserted is too long. If more than two lines should be connected to the same end, the bared line should be twisted firmly, then insert them into the hole together. After that, screw the screw cap firmly to guarantee its bearing strength. 1 AC power AC power is supplied with a 16V/1.5A transformer at 50 or 60 Hz. Please connect the secondary of the transformer to the terminals labeled AC. The primary side of the transformer must be connected to an un-switched receptacle. Do not connect primary to Ground-Fault-Interrupt (GFI) circuits. After connecting all lines, power it on. Note: The main unit will indicate if the AC line cut off for 10 seconds. When there is something wrong with program system, the main unit will report that AC is cut off. And the main unit also will report that it recovers after recovering for 10 seconds. 2 Backup Battery To make sure main unit work normally in case the AC cut off, the alarm host should be connected with storage battery as picture 1. Connect the red line -5-
  • 9. Network Alarm System to the anode, and the black line to the cathode. It will damage the battery if they are connected wrongly, and it uses 12V 7Ah sealed storage battery. Don't use non-rechargeable battery or non-sealed storage battery. It is suggested to change the battery every year. Note: The alarm host will indicate the low power if the voltage is lower than 11.8V. Moreover, it will send the low-power report if there is something wrong with program system, and when voltage is lower than 10.5V, it will cut off the power supply to protect the battery. Don't connect the battery before finishing all lines connection. 3 Siren outputting connection Bell &C is the siren-outputting interface. It provides stable 10.5V-14.5V DC power when alarming. Fast thawing fuse F2 (2A, 3AG) protects the interface circuit. When the current exceeds 2A, the fuse F2 will melt to cut off the connection between main unit and siren. Note the polarity before connecting. The anode is connected to the Bell end, and the cathode is connected to the C end as picture1. Note: if the fuse melts, please cut off all main unit power. After clearing all obstructions, change the fuse, and then power it on. Don't change it with large capacity fuse. 4 Auxiliary connects with power. SW and C end are interfaces, which can be cut off. It provides equipments, which needs to reset the cut-off state after alarming with 10.5V-14.5V/0.5A DC. The representative equipments include glass broken sensor and smoke detector. AUX and C end are interfaces, which cannot be cut off. It can provide wired fittings with 10.5V-14.5V/0.5mA DC power. SW & C end and AUX & C end are protected by fast thawing fuse (0.5A, 3AG) 5) Wired intelligent keypad & wired warning board connection AUX and C end are the interfaces of the keypad and warning board. DAT end is the interface of the digit between alarm panel and keypad & warning board. The system can connect 4 keypads at most and each keypad will consume 55mA current. The wire connected with keypad is 22AWG (0.643mm) copper core cable and each cable can reach 150m. 6) Wired zones connection Z1-Z6&C have 6 interfaces connecting with line in wired zones. In zone circuit, Z1-Z6 end is anode, C end is cathode, so when connecting, please pay attention to the polarity of detector alarm output interface, so as not to damage other parts of apparatus. But it is no necessary to distinguish the polarities when fittings are hand-pressing switch or foot-trampling switch.Every zone circuit can be programmed independently to different circuit types, such as “normal close” “normal open” or “EOL resistor”. -6-
  • 10. Network Alarm System If it is programmed to be “normal close” or “normal open”, the detector's alarm outputting interface can be connected directly to both ends of zone circuit; If it is programmed to be “EOL resistor”, the correspondent zone circuit end should be connected with 2.2K resistor (other zone circuits unused for the moment also should be connected). Connection principles: normal open detector should be connected in parallel with 2.2K resistors; normal close detector should be concatenated with 2.2K resistors (and the resistor should be as near to detector as possible). In order to avoid zone circuit lines damaged (be cut off or short circuit), it is better to program relevant zone circuit to be “EOL resistor”. If both of resistors down-lead and out-line are connected to the same interface. They should be twisted and screwed firmly, then inserted into the interface, and screw the snail firmly. If resistor down lead is wire-wrapped and connected with out-lines, it should be soldered after wire-wrapped connection. Moreover, the parts of resistor down lead should be as short as possible to avoid short circuit by touching with other metals after twisted. When the detector needs alarm host to provide power, the anode and cathode of the detector’s power input interface should be separately connected with SW and C interfaces or AUX and C interfaces. NO interface (with EOL resistor) NC interface (with EOL resistor) Wire terminal of alarm panel Wire terminal of alarm panel Wire terminal of detector Wire terminal of detector NO/ NC interfaces (without EOL resistor) Wire terminal of alarm panel Wire terminal of detector -7-
  • 11. Network Alarm System 7) Programmable linkage output connection NC. NO. and COM are for connection of programmable earth ground. It means the alarm panel can set the driven relay output of various alarms and zones alarms. NC is Normal Close, NO is Normal Open and COM is normal connection. This interface can afford 1A 120VAC/24VDC at most. It should change the relay of higher-power once the power of controlled equipments overloads the interfaces. 8) Tamper connection TAM&C is the anti-tamper zone interface. It can be set two switches on the case. One is to avoid opening the cap illegally; the other one is to avoid moving or dissembling the alarm host. Concatenate both anti-tamper switches, and then connect the EOL with TAM&C interface. 9) Telephone line connection LINE is the interface of telephone incoming line. PHONE is extension interface. When alarming, in order to make main unit reporting the alarm information to the manage center and user, LINE interfaces should be connected with telephone incoming line. Extension and other telecommunication equipments (including extension) can be connected with PHONE interface. But don't oppositely connect with incoming line. They should be connected as picture 1. 4.2.4 System debugging Firstly, check whether all lines are connected correctly or not. Next, connect with battery, and cover the case cap. Then connect with AC power to program. Lastly, test system to check if all detector fittings can work normally and can communicate normally with alarm host or if the alarm host correctly performs all alarm functions. Then the system installation is finished. 5 Instruction of Wired Keypad The Keypad is designed to support this Long-distance Network Alarm System. It can assist the alarm panel to make Arm, Disarm, Duress Alarm and Emergency Alarm etc. The keypad can display the information from panel or zones on time. It is endowed with a Tamper interface and a programmable expanding zone. It is with the design of flip type, aesthetic appearance and simple operation. 4 pieces of keypads can be connected with the alarm panel. 5.1 Technologic Parameter Working Voltage: DC12V±20% Current: 55mA Length of Wire: ≤150m (22AWG copper core cable) -8-

  • 46. Network Alarm System The limitation of this system While this system is an advanced design security system, it does not offer guaranteed protection against burglar or fire or other emergency. Any alarm systems, whether commercial or residential, is subject to compromise or failure to warn for variety of reasons. For example: 1 Owing to the omission of the user, the system wasn't Armed. 2 Misunderstanding on the user's manual by the user or installer causes the abnormal working of the system. 3 Intruders may gain access through unprotected openings or have the technical sophistication to bypass an alarm sensor or disconnect an alarm warning device. Passive Infrared Motion Detectors can only detect intrusion within the designed ranges as diagrammed in their installation manual. They do not provide volumetric area protection. They can not detect motion or intrusion that takes place behind walls, ceiling, floors, closed doors, glass partitions, glass doors, or windows. 4 Passive Infrared Detector sense changes in temperature; however, as the ambient temperature of protected area approaches the temperature range of 30 to 40 , the detection performance will decrease. 5 It is exiting no-power or battery-aging. 6 Alarm warning devices such as sirens, bells or horns may not alert people or wake up sleeper if they are located on the other side of closed or partly open doors. 7 Telephone lines needed to transmit alarm signals from a premise to a central monitoring station may be out of service or temporarily out of service. Telephone lines are also subject to compromise by sophisticated intruders. 8 The most common cause of an alarm system not functioning when an intrusion or fire occurs is inadequate maintenance. This alarm system should be tested weekly to make sure all sensors and transmitters are working properly. 9 The wireless communication distance is the testing figure in open area. Please make sure no obstacle in the surrounding environment to guarantee the reliability of the wireless communication distance farther. 10 If you disagree with the above mentioned items, please return the alarm system to our company within 3 days from purchasing. Installing an alarm system may make one eligible for lower insurance rates, but an alarm system is not a substitute for insurance. Homeowners, property owners and renters should continue to act prudently themselves and continue to insure their lives and property. -43-
