Hi all, I have compiled a small list of things you could do in your office to make Women's Day special for the female associates. Hope this is helpful. 1. 50 THINGS TO DO ON WOMEN’S DAY
1. Give them a paid day off with a budget for enjoying their day (maybe a Movie + Lunch).
2. Have fun games organized.
3. Have a competition like salad competition or embroidery.
4. One can go for food stalls in cafeteria – free for women.
5. Have an essay or speech or debate on women’s issues.
6. Experience sharing sessions. In this meeting each women may speak there something special
experience about their job.
7. Touch upon the problems that women face in your organisation.
8. Visit a Woman's NGO and celebrate the day with them.
9. Employee’s can donate to their favourite women’s cause or charity.
10. Spread awareness about a women’s orphanage/ old age home/ shelter.
11. Take a pledge to stop Domestic Violence/ female foeticide.
12. Adopt a HIV+ women/ an abandoned girl child.
13. Half day workshop by a specialist on a topic of women's interest.
14. Organise a talk by a lady gynaecologist / dietician / nutrition and wellness advisor.
15. Greet all women with flowers.
16. Women are given a greeting card with a nice quotation about women.
17. Arrange a presentation on women who are Corporate Role Models managing multiple roles.
18. A panel discussion on changing roles and expectations of women.
19. Male employees prepare lunch for all women employees.
20. Male employees say a small speech for each female team member about why they are
special and how they have contributed to the team.
21. Male employees prepare collage for each female team member with things about them and
best collage wins.
22. Women to wear same coloured attire.
23. Organize a woman centric movie for all together to watch followed by dinner/lunch/tea.
24. Get an expert to train them an hour on self defence.
25. Get an expert to counsel them on domestic violence.

28. Make them feel good. You can distribute a small chit of paper. Every person has to write
something good about any female present.

30. Tie-up with local salon / spa and arrange for vouchers as gifts/prizes.
31. Women’s Health talk, Healthy food habits, Back pain prevention, Osteoporosis exercises,
Comfort in a Women’s world.
32. Introductory Dance Workshop – Salsa / Romba etc...
33. Musical event and DJ in association with Aalaps (the musical band).
34. Quiz Competition for women and/or with theme as women.
35. Encourage women to conduct Vocational Training & Provide Self employment.
36. Session addressing Women’s Health Issues.
37. Women’s Sports Day.
38. Women’s Oratory Contest.
39. Drawing/Painting Contest for women.
40. Photography Workshop for women.
41. Digital Graphics, Conceptual Art or Any Unique Talent.

43. awareness program about common health issues in women, notably pulmonary, surgical
gynecological and stress related issues
44. Session on balancing work & home for working women.
45. Session on Breast Cancer awareness.
46. Arrange a women’s Car Rally
47. Arrange a women’s only Walkathon
48. Arrange a women’s only Cycling event.
49. Internal “Woman of the Year contest”.
50. Do not forget to celebrate International Men’s Day on 19th Nov every year as well!!!
