2. Intralase Methods
●
Intralase is one of the most advanced laser eye surgery procedures
available on the market today.
●
It is also known as ‘Blade less or blade free lasik’ or ‘All Laser LASIK’
●
The IntraLase Method laser represents a breakthrough in the field of
ultrafast laser science.
●
The IntraLase laser creates a more stable flap with beveled edges,
resulting in a well-seated snug fit, once laid back in place after the LASIK
procedure. And, due to the low energy of the femtosecond laser there is
no heat or shock wave damage to surrounding tissues.
●
Intralase method ( blade free lasik ) uses a femtosecond laser for cutting
the flap in place of the microkeratome blade.

5. Implantable Contact Lenses
●
Implantable contact Lens (ICL) is suitable for those patients who are
unsuitable for Laser vision correction.
●
The STAAR ICL™ is an extra lens, similar to a contact lens but the
difference is that the ICL is placed inside the eye, rather than on the
surface of the eye.
●
ICL is soft and tiny, much like the natural lens and is specially shaped to
correct nearsightedness and farsightedness.
●
ICL is tiny and soft so it can be folded up so small that it can be injected
into the eye in seconds through a tiny self sealing opening.
●
The ICL is made of a unique material called Collamer.
