2. Corneal Topography
●
Orbscan II is used for corneal topography which sets a new standard for
precision measurement of the anterior segment of the eye.
●
The Orbscan II topographer analysis the physical shape / contours of
your cornea and allows the surgeon to decide if it has suitable shape, is
healthy and thick enough for treatment.
●
Orbscan II is the only topographer currently available that measures the
shape of both the front and back surface of the entire cornea.
●
The Orbscan II is able to provide such high precision information as it
captures data within seconds from 9000 points on the cornea during
each measurement.

3. WaveScan Technology
●
WaveScan technology was originally developed for use in high-powered
telescopes to reduce distortions when viewing distant objects in space.
●
This technology has now been applied to laser vision correction,
measuring imperfections in the eye never before measured using
standard methods for glasses and contact lenses.
●
WaveScan-based digital technology identifies and measures
imperfections in your eyes 25 times more precisely than standard
methods.
●
The powerful WaveScan software translates the information into a set of
CustomVue treatment instructions for the laser.

4. CustomVue Technology
●
The Advanced CustomVue procedure provides a full range of
treatments for patients who have all forms of astigmatism, whether
associated with nearsightedness, farsightedness or mixed astigmatism.
●
The Advanced CustomVue procedure has the broadest FDA-approved,
custom wavefront-guided treatments available today for individuals with
myopia and hyperopia with or without astigmatism.
●
Results from multi-center clinical studies demonstrate that the Advanced
CustomVue procedure enables excellent outcomes for the broadest
range of FDA-approved wavefront-guided treatments.

5. STAR S4 IR Laser System.
●
The STAR S4 IR Excimer Laser System is designed to bring Advanced
CustomVue laser vision correction to life.
●
Using the STAR S4 IR Excimer Laser System, surgeons can deliver the
broadest range of wavefront-guided laser vision correction treatments to
patients.
●
In fact, more than 94 percent of eligible candidates in the U.S., and
more than 99.75 percent outside the U.S., may potentially benefit from
the Advanced CustomVue procedure.
●
The STAR S4 IR Excimer Laser System features VSS Refractive
technology (Variable Spot Scanning) and VRR (Variable Repetition Rate)
pulse-packing algorithm, both proprietary to AMO.
