3. PLYWOOD
Plywood is a manufactured wood panel from the
family of manufactured boards (such as medium-density
fibreboard (MDF),particle
board (chipboard), etc.) made from thin sheets
of wood veneer.
Plywood layers (called veneers or plies) are glued
together, with adjacent plies having their wood
grain rotated relative to adjacent layers up to 90
degrees.
4. USES OF PLYWOOD
It is used to make furniture items and in the
construction of wooden houses.
It can be used inside or outside for furniture's,
sheds, floor, boat construction, blackboards,
billboards, bathroom units, agricultural construction,
ceilings, containers or boxes, counter tops, crates,
dog kennels, kitchen units, letter boxes among
others.
It is used for domestic construction projects such as
shelves, tables, drawers and wall separators in
wooden houses.

6. USES OF PLYWOOD
Plywood can be used for many different projects. It
can be used as sub-flooring, table tops, and even
yard decorations.
Plywood can be used for building materials eg. lofts
walls and decorative wood art.

8. REQUIREMENT OF PLYWOOD
Cost
Because plywood is made of wood chips and shavings, it
can come from the parts of trees that are not suitable for the
milling of beams, blocks and boards. As a rule, that makes
plywood cheaper than its equivalent in real wood as well,
particularly for large scale applications.
Stability
The alternating grains and use of adhesives in plywood
make it as stable or more stable than regular wood.
Plywood is sometimes less prone to absorb and/or release
moisture, and when it does, the alternating grain pattern
resists expansion and shrinkage. As a result, the wood is
sometimes more resistant to shrinking and warping.

10. REQUIREMENTS OF PLYWOOD:
Strength
Plywood is a laminate, with multiple layers of wood
chips and shavings laid on top of each other and
glued together. The strength of the laminate is
enhanced by the arrangement of each layer so the
grain of the wood alternates, making most types of
plywood stronger than an equivalent piece of the
same real wood. Plywood is also about twice as
resistant to sheering as regular wood
