Mozilla has been focusing on expanding its open source approach with an open innovation tools. We have been experimenting with the design process and how to make it more inclusive. For this purpose we run a decentralized design sprint experiment with Stanford University. We focused on co-creating with users and testing the Hive method for enabling decentralized ideation. This inclusive method is particularly interesting for including more users with unmet needs in the design process. ::: Rosana Ardila ::: Rosana Ardila is from Colombia and lives in Berlin. Originally a sociologist, she has worked with open source communities for years. At Mozilla she has worked with global communities and her current focus is on open innovation.

We had global participation with a strong focus in North America.
59 participants were from the U.S, 12 Canada, 8 India, 6 Australia,
2 Taiwan, 2 Sweden, 2 Germany, and 1 from Argentina, Brazil, France,
Indonesia, Israel, the Netherlands, Nigeria, and the UK.
