This document provides an overview of the results from The CMO Survey, which collects opinions from top marketers. It finds that marketer optimism about the economy and their own companies continues to increase. Marketing budgets are expected to rise by 5.9% overall, with the largest increase in internet marketing spending. Firms plan to pursue growth through diversification, partnerships and acquisitions. Marketing performance metrics are mixed but goals for the next 12 months are up across most areas.
