Our emphasis of design on authentic style of Asian architecture and interior design. The
contemporary design has found its way into modern interior design. Yet, we genuinely are
Asian-inspired decor and we wish to help to radiate the beauty of Asian interior Design (ID)
and share the peace and tranquility.
It is soul-soothing to be enriched with rich character and calming forms of Asian ID, being
the perfect addition to a contemporary home.
The main emphasis and elements of what make our ID impressive and soul-soothing ;-
1) Zen Features - Zen itself reminds us of meditation, relaxation and worry-free. Whereby
the place we stay should create these sensation. It does not have much demands, yet
promote simplicity, minimalism and balance.
2) Maximize flow of Energy - As Asian-inspired decor, we design to something that enable
the energy to flow freely within and throughout the space of a building or room, as most of
the Asian countries lie on the Equator (tropical and sub-tropical). So, the delicate usage of
natural design elements like natural lighting and wind flow are important to harmonize the
ambient.
3) Lively Colours - A touch of strong and vivid tones in Asian styles. A bright accent mixed
with neutral backdrop in Asian-themed interior. The Oriental styles cannot do much
without accents, and perhaps some sharp, luxurious colours added to the combination as
some contrast.
Many other more elements are included. Our design is guaranteed to provide ;-
freshness, mystic vibe, minimal item as possible, visual and textural balance,
authenthic vibe and embracement of tranquility.

INTERIOR DESIGN
IDs plan, design and coordinate the internal space of a working or living place
either by creation or renovation. They are specialized in designing a good spatial
design, but should personalise in accordance with client’s taste. The design should
also serve a functional purpose, with consideration of elements such as safety,
traffic flow, internal comfort, and style.
Commonly, aesthetic value of any interior design is the prioritized
consideration. Customers would choose either convention or uniqueness of a
design for their specific purpose of the working/living place. IDs are required to
have a very good understanding of the architectural plan and design in detail with
the plan.
Employment opportunities include self-employment, working in design or
architectural consultancy, or collaborating with other building and design
professionals in other aspects in a business.
You may choose to develop your career in a particular field of interior design
such as commercial interior design, industrial design, green (environmentally-
friendly) and ergonomic design, or film set design and construction.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT
We keep emphasizing on Asian interior design because we learnt that history plays an
important reminder and lesson to guide us to prevent from repeating wrongful mistakes. In
the olden days, people design buildings with none to very minimal information and
resources but they managed to pull it off with their very own imagination. Indeed, there are
collective reasons behind.
Therefore, we are here to comprehend, improvise, and innovate the to harness the
unspoken beauty to customers.
6

Asian decors on who are mainly
based on authentic Asian style. We
place them to be in charge and

create arts in the eyes of public
and to appreciate it as we integrate
the design to designed areas so
that the public do not just
remember us as Interior Designers
but also artists. We want to
achieve the very best quality and
aesthetic value of our products to
be appreciated at any moment.

S.W.O.T ANALYSIS
STRENGHT
1. Shop is located in prime area (Kota
Damansara), highly populated and
crowded to give benefits to
accessibility
2. We provide differentiated products
yet specialized in the field with foreign
expertise
3. We provide templates for customers
to view, especially our E-platform in
providing virtual templates which could
enable spontaneous designs as
desired starting from scratch.
4. Design cost is low as we render
products and do virtual modelling
which could cut cost on production
fees
OPPORTUNITY
1.Young generation appreciates and
acknowledges aesthetic values
regardless of anything including
buildings and their interiors
2. Young generation has affinity for
technologies and gadgets which make
it easier to provide mutual services
through our E-platform consultancy
and platform
3. The environmental and climatic
conditions become our target to utilize
our design and concept and work them
up to compatibility
THREAT
1. Not all Malaysians would go for
aesthetic rather than practicality and
cost
2. Not all Malaysians appreciate Asian-
style design as it is
3. Surrounding area of shop’s location
has a few other Interior Design or
equivalent firms/shops which arises
competition
4. Difficulty and inconvenien3ce in
parking
WEAKNESS
1.Shop’s rental fee is very high in
prime areas and makes it hard for us to
sustain business if does not have
consistent business intake.
2. We hardly have any real products to
demonstrate to customers so it is hard
to convince them with our design and
concept because they might have
difficulties in visualizing our products
3. Logically, our material cost would be
higher as we are importing some of the
materials from native countries as they
are not produced here

in-charge of interacting with clients first-hand and manage the company’s
Organization Chart and its staff. The job scopes are stated below.

as we are mainly specialized in Interior Designing and our firm’s size is small with
very few staff. Our organizational structure and hierarchy are only very small and
simple.
 Trainees would be given projects to manage and handle by themselves
 Trainees would have to attend training courses and seminars from time to
time
 Different approaches to maintaining hierarchy and simplicity
 An overview of design consideration vs accessibility
 The tools to learn about universal design as a concept and in practice
 Introduction to the role and value of accessible design pattern libraries
16
INTERVIEW
ACTIVITY 2
The local Malaysian ID would be given a drawing set to sketch a local
Malaysian home design, in accordance with a set of specifications by the
manager. Then, they would be required to build a “LEGO” set to potray what
have been drawn. The given time would be 60 minutes.
This is to test their creativity and ability to react and complete tasks in
intensively short period of time in accordance to desired specifications.
This can drastically cut down time the employee that we are looking for
based on how closely related the person could design and build what we
focus on.

It is to roughly determine the personality of the candidates that we are looking
for.
 Determine personalities
 Reduce time to familiarize with the candidate

The foreign Pro-Asian style ID would be tested on their understanding of local and
Asian cultures. Given a set of building materials, pick two (2) and briefly talk about
which two (2) historical Asian countries of which they picked for main or preferred
interior building elements. There would be a brief story-telling or case study of the
history background and mainly on why they use them? Was it the
cultural/climatic/environmental factor?
With all the reasons and the materials accustomed to the selected Asian
styles, we would give out a template (rendering or simple hand drawn) to test the
candidate to design the interior with intriguing design and reasoning.

QUESTIONNAIRES AND REASONING
What qualities and skills should a good designer have?
This is a great opportunity to see how a designer thinks of their profession. “To create
great designs” is not enough. A good designer will be able to articulate how their designs
communicate your brand’s vision and solve practical problems.
Let’s say you’re designing a new logo for our company. What would it look like?
This question gives you an opportunity to observe a designer’s thought process first-
hand and see how well they understand your company or product.
Tell me about your experience working remotely. What do you feel is important to
make sure the work gets done efficiently?
This question should give you some insight into a designer’s work style. Mentioning the
importance of regular communication, organization, and accountability are good signs.
How do you meet tough deadlines? Tell me about a time you completed great
work under pressure.
Good designers are thoughtful and thorough, but you also want to make sure they know
how to prioritize and work well under time constraints.
Walk me through your portfolio. Which pieces are you most proud of, and why?
Every designer should be prepared to showcase their best work. Make sure you ask
them to explain the problem each piece was meant to solve and how they accomplished
that.
19
Every company must hold at least one advantage to successfully compete in the
industry. If a company cannot identify one or just does not possess it , competitors
soon would outperform it and force the business to leave the industry. Utilizing
information technology and information management skills can help in creating
competitive advantage to your company.
Information Technology
Information Technology (IT) is the use of any computers, storage, networking and other
physical devices, infrastructure and processes to :-
 Create
 Process
 Store
 Secure
 Exchange
all forms of electronic data.
As new technologies evolve and existing technologies are expanding, the interaction
between people and computers are turning apace and this result many impacts on
organizations and society. Basically, the role of IT is to monitor process and circulate
data to assist in managing , checking and building determinations for the governing
body. IT is a critical requirement for improving the way to manage and run the
organizations.

1. Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
To replace the traditional method of designing by manual drafting, S.I.D decoded to
use and automated process which is CAD, where it is much more efficient compared
to the manual drafting method. CAD or computer-aided computer technology for
designing work and also design documentation.
There are many benefits that S.I.D can gain by using the software in the company.
Through CAD :-
i. the designer can explore the concept design ideas at the pre-construction
stage.
ii. CAD software was built up with visualization and animation systems which
helps in visualizing the final design concepts that is to be made by producing
photo-realistic, static and moving images so that the clients can review the
final appearance of the building at the design stage.
iii. the designed drawings also can be saved at any stage and enables and
designer to make any modifications if it required by the client or the designer.
iv. a simulation can be done to analyze and ratify the performance of the design
in the real world before it is constructed.
SOFTWARE
21
UTILISE INFORMATION
1) Bridge the gap between business people and technical people
Firstly, it requires technician people to understand the business problem they are
trying to solve.
Secondly, it requires business people understand the available technologies to
know which ones to use in designing a creative solution for the business problem.
Therefore in this process, technology brings both parties together and bonds
their relationship.
2) Viewing business problems from another perspective obtained from
information system
To put yourself in the place of the primary user of the system and try to come with
ways in which that user would be not just served but delighted by the system. So,
take the perspective of the customer of the company and ask, how could the
information system be designed so that it enhances the customer’s experience.
3) Creating creative design
Use information technology to design a new concept and idea which is different
from its competitors.
4) Information Technology and Management Storing and protecting
information
Information technology improves our company’s efficiency by developing
automated processes to take the burden off from our staffs who are loaded with
work. Also, it can to help to work faster within certain duration. In turn, our
employees are free to work on other thing while the computer runs their reports,
create queries, tracks projects and monitors financial.
22
5) Work Remotely
Information technology systems make our staffs more flexible in their work by
allowing remote access to the company’s electronic network. Thus, the staff can
choose their time to do work either at home or somewhere else. This accessibility
allows us to increase the productivity of the work assigned to our staff because the
assigned works will be pending even when we are not physically in the office.
6) Communication
Communication is very useful and vital in the business world as information
technology provides the useful assets to communicate faster and effectively.
Through new technology such as email and video-conferencing, communications will
be improved within a business and also to external customers. Communication
between branches or even between countries will be improved.
Organization use different software packages for a variety of tasks and activities .
The example of these softwares that are used by our company are:
 Word processing - to create and type business letters, memos and reports.
 Spreadsheets - to calculate financial information such as sales figures, cash
budgets and also to create bar charts and graphs from such data to make
evaluation.
 Databases - to keep records of employees such as their address, date of
birth and medical information.
 Desktop publishing - to create professional newsletters, staff, magazines,
books or other publications.
 Presentation - To communicate or present information on new products or
market research findings to customers, clients, employees or management .
It can be used for training purpose also.
23
MANAGEMENT SKILL
1) Data Management
Companies store digital versions of documents on servers and storage devices. These
documents become instantly available to everyone in the company, regardless of their
geographical location. Companies are able to store and maintain a tremendous amount of
historical data economically, and employees benefit from immediate access to the documents
they need.
2) Management Information Systems
It enable companies to track sales data, expenses and productivity levels. The information
can be used to track profitability over time, maximize return on investment and identify areas
of improvement. Managers can track sales on a daily basis, allowing them to immediately
react to lower-than-expected numbers by boosting employee productivity or reducing the cost
of an item.
3) Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Capture every interaction a company has with a customer, so we able to provide a more
enriching experience. (If a customer calls a call center with an issue, the customer support
representative will be able to see what the customer has purchased, view shipping
information, call up the training manual for that item and effectively respond to the issue.)
The entire interaction is stored in the CRM system, ready to be recalled if the customer calls
again. The customer has a better, more focused experience and the company benefits
fromimproved productivity
REASONS TO MANAGE INFORMATION
 To save time and money - viewing the past works from other colleagues, this makes
the task easier to do than redo it again.
 To monitor the company’s process - by keeping all the records, the management will
be enable to figure out what are the areas that benefits the company the most.
Therefore , improvements can be carried out if necessary.
 To improve efficiently and productivity - by categorizing all the information, the
employees will find it easy to refer when needed.
 To reduce uncertainty or risk - by having all the information of a product or services
like writing every single detail, this will allow the employees to refer back whenever he
or she needed it.
24
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
1. Differentiation - Our organization emphasizes on authentic Asian design style to develop
differentiated features or/and to reduce competitors’ differentiation advantages. We are not
just solely on words, we take serious action in training our employees and hiring foreign
Asian employees to have expertise and produce pure Asian design including our very own
local Malaysian design.
Other than that, in this industry, most of the companies are targeting the independent
groups of people while overlook the dependent peoples but our companies is targeting both
of the groups because lesser competitor in the society who are targeting the dependent
peoples. We are able to survive with this diversified targets because we do not have to
spend a huge sum of money for producing display or demonstration goods as we have
expertise in producing virtual products through computing and rendering.
2. Innovation - Organizations can use information systems to identify and create new
products and services or/and to develop new markets or/and to radically change business
processes via automation. So, our companies frequently attend training courses and
seminars, travel to other countries and companies to gather all the information
We also found that most of the customers prefer other cultural design if price was
reasonable hence our companies took this opportunities to provide different type of cultural
design to the customers.
3. Strategic Alliance - Our company seek opportunities to create and enhance relations
with partners via applications and collaboration. The alliance is deemed important to us as
the big companies may rely on us for our expertise and specialisation, and we may rely on
them for business networks and reputation. We have partnered with multiples top
construction companies in Malaysia like MS Group, ECW Group and Genthing Group.
The supply chain we built could also give us a competitve advantage as our alliance provide
us the reputation and strengthen our base. For example, when suppliers have noted our
company’s alliance, they wish to prolong business with both parties, hence reducing cost.

  • 3. 3 Our emphasis of design on authentic style of Asian architecture and interior design. The contemporary design has found its way into modern interior design. Yet, we genuinely are Asian-inspired decor and we wish to help to radiate the beauty of Asian interior Design (ID) and share the peace and tranquility. It is soul-soothing to be enriched with rich character and calming forms of Asian ID, being the perfect addition to a contemporary home. The main emphasis and elements of what make our ID impressive and soul-soothing ;- 1) Zen Features - Zen itself reminds us of meditation, relaxation and worry-free. Whereby the place we stay should create these sensation. It does not have much demands, yet promote simplicity, minimalism and balance. 2) Maximize flow of Energy - As Asian-inspired decor, we design to something that enable the energy to flow freely within and throughout the space of a building or room, as most of the Asian countries lie on the Equator (tropical and sub-tropical). So, the delicate usage of natural design elements like natural lighting and wind flow are important to harmonize the ambient. 3) Lively Colours - A touch of strong and vivid tones in Asian styles. A bright accent mixed with neutral backdrop in Asian-themed interior. The Oriental styles cannot do much without accents, and perhaps some sharp, luxurious colours added to the combination as some contrast. Many other more elements are included. Our design is guaranteed to provide ;- freshness, mystic vibe, minimal item as possible, visual and textural balance, authenthic vibe and embracement of tranquility. OUR PROFESSION OUR OBJECTIVES  We provide consultancy and direction of desired design for comfort, purpose and style.  We wish to establish memorable and renown recognition in the market.  We work with versatility and dynamic management and cooperation.  To help customers to attain comfort and authenticity in lifestyle.  Promote sustainability in green and healthy environment. 
  • 4. 4 INTERIOR DESIGN IDs plan, design and coordinate the internal space of a working or living place either by creation or renovation. They are specialized in designing a good spatial design, but should personalise in accordance with client’s taste. The design should also serve a functional purpose, with consideration of elements such as safety, traffic flow, internal comfort, and style. Commonly, aesthetic value of any interior design is the prioritized consideration. Customers would choose either convention or uniqueness of a design for their specific purpose of the working/living place. IDs are required to have a very good understanding of the architectural plan and design in detail with the plan. Employment opportunities include self-employment, working in design or architectural consultancy, or collaborating with other building and design professionals in other aspects in a business. You may choose to develop your career in a particular field of interior design such as commercial interior design, industrial design, green (environmentally- friendly) and ergonomic design, or film set design and construction.
  • 5. 5 Short term  Promote our very local and Asian design to reach out to local market.  Focus only on Asian design interior design to variable, differentiated and unique  Train trainees to familiarize with the company and work competitively up to par and standards as per our criteria and requirement. Mid term  In few years time, shall gain customers base by recognition and have multiple and long links of relationships.  Then, continue to sustain in the market with stable income and business, in collaboration with big and renown companies  Well-oriented organization chart and culture to be molded in the company for the future. Long term  Establish a very stable and renown company’s status and recognition, gain sustainable competitive advantage in the market to prolong business  Open up multiple more firms to provide higher availability to our business can set us to penetrate into various foreign markets in the future to be recognized internationally. WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT We keep emphasizing on Asian interior design because we learnt that history plays an important reminder and lesson to guide us to prevent from repeating wrongful mistakes. In the olden days, people design buildings with none to very minimal information and resources but they managed to pull it off with their very own imagination. Indeed, there are collective reasons behind. Therefore, we are here to comprehend, improvise, and innovate the to harness the unspoken beauty to customers.
  • 6. 6 STRATEGIC PLANNING NETWORKING & PROMOTION (BASIS PROMOTION & DOWNLINE PROMOTION) Our goal is to be recognized and be renown locally, if not overseas, with highly aesthetic design and top notch products. Networking is essential, with our system of regulatory basis and down-line promotion, which means a more attractive price would be offered to introduced customers. EMPLOYEES’S WELFARE In order to earn fame and faith from customers, we earn the best of spirits and determination from our very own employees to serve our customers. Then only we speak of selling our best of services and products to our customers. So, we prioritize our employee’s welfare in our company. E-PLATFORM (CONSULTANCY AND MODELLING) I We serve our customers through E-platform and in-person consultancy. We provide virtual design and modelling at every platform available, especially more convenient at our websites to provide rough ideas of customers’ desire. We work at the best cost for customers and provide quotation of cost. ASIAN INTERIOR DESIGN SPECIALISTS Other than that, we hire a few Asian decors on who are mainly based on authentic Asian style. We place them to be in charge and guide the Design Team to ensure a pure and authentic Asian interior design. ENHANCED TRAINING PROGRAMME This is to further enhance our employees to recognize, understand and master the artwork and design of Asian architecture and interior design. Our employees are to attend training to learn the fundamental essence of Asian style and comprehend compatibility between the design and climatic influences. ARTISRY, AESTHETIC AND APPRECIATED (AAA) Q.C. is important to us as it is to our customers, as we do not only sell products but arts. We wish to create arts in the eyes of public and to appreciate it as we integrate the design to designed areas so that the public do not just remember us as Interior Designers but also artists. We want to achieve the very best quality and aesthetic value of our products to be appreciated at any moment.
  • 7. 7 S.W.O.T ANALYSIS STRENGHT 1. Shop is located in prime area (Kota Damansara), highly populated and crowded to give benefits to accessibility 2. We provide differentiated products yet specialized in the field with foreign expertise 3. We provide templates for customers to view, especially our E-platform in providing virtual templates which could enable spontaneous designs as desired starting from scratch. 4. Design cost is low as we render products and do virtual modelling which could cut cost on production fees OPPORTUNITY 1.Young generation appreciates and acknowledges aesthetic values regardless of anything including buildings and their interiors 2. Young generation has affinity for technologies and gadgets which make it easier to provide mutual services through our E-platform consultancy and platform 3. The environmental and climatic conditions become our target to utilize our design and concept and work them up to compatibility THREAT 1. Not all Malaysians would go for aesthetic rather than practicality and cost 2. Not all Malaysians appreciate Asian- style design as it is 3. Surrounding area of shop’s location has a few other Interior Design or equivalent firms/shops which arises competition 4. Difficulty and inconvenien3ce in parking WEAKNESS 1.Shop’s rental fee is very high in prime areas and makes it hard for us to sustain business if does not have consistent business intake. 2. We hardly have any real products to demonstrate to customers so it is hard to convince them with our design and concept because they might have difficulties in visualizing our products 3. Logically, our material cost would be higher as we are importing some of the materials from native countries as they are not produced here

This is a great opportunity to see how a designer thinks of their profession. “To create great designs” is not enough. A good designer will be able to articulate how their designs communicate your brand’s vision and solve practical problems. Let’s say you’re designing a new logo for our company. What would it look like? This question gives you an opportunity to observe a designer’s thought process first- hand and see how well they understand your company or product. Tell me about your experience working remotely. What do you feel is important to make sure the work gets done efficiently? This question should give you some insight into a designer’s work style. Mentioning the importance of regular communication, organization, and accountability are good signs. How do you meet tough deadlines? Tell me about a time you completed great work under pressure. Good designers are thoughtful and thorough, but you also want to make sure they know how to prioritize and work well under time constraints. Walk me through your portfolio. Which pieces are you most proud of, and why? Every designer should be prepared to showcase their best work. Make sure you ask them to explain the problem each piece was meant to solve and how they accomplished that.
