Hi Margarita, whatâs up?
Iâm just reviewing some brochures about how to obtain legal help in
Manitoba.
Oh oh! I hope youâre not in trouble! Do you need legal assistance?
No, everything is fine, but next year we are buying a house and I
have a few inquiries I would like to get answered to.
What have you learned so far?
What is a referral service?
Itâs a type of organization that you can consult with for free. If you
need a lawyer. They can advise you of your options.
That will make it easier for many people to access services.
Well, for one thing, I did learn that there is a free referral service
available for those who need it.

family or financial problems.
Do you have to qualify to visit the clinic?
No, anyone can attend, but some of the services may be free if you have
a low family income. I am attending a workshop next week. Why donât
you attend with me?
I would love to do that! I need to learn how to exercise my legal
rights.
Ok, the next workshop is on Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Iâll pick you up at
5:00 pm.
Thanks!
