5. Symptomen pictures the atmosphere of the daily and nightly lives of two very different people. An old widower in an nursing home and a young nurse
who frequently works on nightshifts. A sleep disorder is what they have in common. The widower as the patient, whose perception is influenced by
symptoms of tired- and drowsiness, and the nurse as the one who take’s care of his treatment.
With their differences and similarities the film pictures, through small intimate actions and hallucinations, the perspective of both characters.
Through it’s abstract approach the film lightens only that what is most important to the surface. This will emphasize their smaller growing worlds.

6. The crowd in the hall is laughing, because you are technical superior and put your opponent a few times on
the spot. The gong sounds, you move to your corner.
Again instructions from the trainer; “It is going great.” “Helpers aside, second round.”
Suddenly it happens, you can’t get air, just so suddenly! Again I try to avoid the strokes, but it doesn’t work
any longer.

25. This “Altar Ego” installation is a so called ‘peepshow’ with moving parts and a soundtrack especially made for this project.
A lens is placed in the peephole of the box. The lens gives the scene an extra dimension in depth and perspective.
The scene exhibits an image of god fearing humans in relation to their god figure;
In front of the all seeïng eye of the father figure, the girl acknowledges immediately her failing when she,
purposely or not, breaks the vase. Crying on her knees she is asking for forgiveness (out of fear?).
