Damian has been working with internet technologies for over 13 years and is currently a Director and National Front-End Development Lead at Deloitte Digital. He discovered a passion for building for accessibility over 8 years ago when he implemented his first site according to the WCAG spec, only to sit with a blind user and get told they couldn’t understand a thing. Since then, he’s discovered the importance of both meeting the spec and having a good accessible user experience. Damian is a strong believer that accessibility is just best practice user experience and web development and is more than happy to argue with anyone who believes otherwise.
