About
Laurel Tarulli is the Collection Access Librarian at Halifax Public Libraries. Laurel is a member of the Library of Congress Task Force on Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloguing and is a speaker at regional and national conferences. In 2009, Laurel was awarded the Esther J. Piercy Award by ALCTS. In addition to her publications, she is the author of The Cataloguing Librarian, a blog that explores more than just the future of cataloguing, but the future of the library catalogue. Her recent work has involved exploring how social catalogues can be a place, rather than an inventory.
